Swedish Captain: Erika Holst had two assists in the win; here is her blog. Photo was taken by teammate Danijela Rundqvist.

I’m happy with a win first of all, and I’m overall happy with our game. We need to be a bit more efficient in scoring, but it’s tough when they are playing a very defensive game and their goalie stood on her head.

I think we dominated the game from beginning to end and we talked a lot about patience, keep shooting and crashing the net and eventually it will come.

It’s hard to tell the difference in the Slovakian team since the Olympics since I feel that we have gotten so much stronger as a team.

It was fun to see Alica Mihaliková on their team, who I had in my team this summer coaching at the IIHF development camp in Vierumäki, Finland.

Their goalie (Zuzana Tomcikova) has good size and very good reactions, so she doesn’t leave much net open to shoot at and she is quick covering those few spots. My two assists were both shots from the blue line that was deflected so that was a good way to find the net.

I think some people on our team will go down town Zurich tomorrow to check it out; some "school kids" on our team are probably studying, I’m planning on nice weather and being able to be outside a little bit enjoying the sun. We skate in the afternoon, but it will be a nice and relaxing morning/half day off.

Now we are looking forward to a day off in Zurich on Tuesday to prepare to play the US on Wednesday. That will be a tough one.
